This June we are excited to collaborate with Vermont based Jewish outdoor outfitter 'Burning Bush Adventures', and offer this three-day weekend camping experience for Jewish young professionals.
We believe that the more time we spend outdoors, rain or shine, summer or winter, the better for nurturing our souls and deepening our relationship with the earth and all of its inhabitants. The good news: we will be providing all the camping equipment, so if you are a beginner camper, all you have to bring are some clothes and personal items! On this trip, we will be paddling a stretch of the Delaware River entirely within the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area (DWGRA). The river running through DWGRA has a decidedly wild aspect to it. The scenery is magnificent. There is an abundance of wildlife and the river is lively, offering several exciting but not particularly dangerous class 1 rapids. There are numerous heavily forested islands and interesting exposed rock formations. Our wilderness trips include time for guided meditation and reflection, so you can really get to relax and enjoy the slow pace of the weekend. On our wilderness trips, we teach and practice minimum impact camping. All of our wilderness trips are safe, fun, and inspirational! |
