The idea for Greener Travel, and ultimately the Costa Rica Caribbean Experience, started from a chance encounter and an invitation to visit an amazing farm, Finca Rio Perla, in the Caribbean highlands of Costa Rica. After visiting the farm and traveling to the magnificent and unspoiled coast, Ami Greener, an environmental entrepreneur , and Dr. Paul Siegel, the farm's owner decided that it would be a great idea to invite others to experience this piece of paradise. After organizing many group tours and planning many individual eco-tours to Costa Rica, Greener Travel is expanding to include other unique destinations.

Ami Greener Director and Founder Greener Travel was founded by Ami Greener, an experienced and enthusiastic environmentalist who was captivated by the unique beauty of Costa Rica on a visit many years ago. He is currently based in Washington, DC, and holds a Masters in Environmental Policy. By forming relationships with tour and adventure outfitters, Ami is able to provide travelers with highly detailed itineraries that allow them to enjoy an amazing vacation, leaving the planning and booking to him and his team. He came on board to create more adventure opportunities on the trip and grow the number of trip offerings for our adventure-seeking clients. An avid traveler, Edan has explored both the Caribbean and Pacific coasts of Costa Rica. Using these experiences, Edan is able to help offer suggestions and recommendations on how to help clients maximize the Pura Vida experience. Once upon a 5 year period of time, Edan worked on Capitol Hill for a Representative from Atlanta, Georgia. There he drove environmental policy for the Congressman seeking legislative ways to promote sustainable solutions.
